Safeguarding

This policy has been produced in line with HM Government’s ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children, March 2013’.

Fun French Ltd is committed to ensuring the welfare of all children and every decision will be made in the child’s best interests. We believe that all children are entitled to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.

At Fun French Ltd we will do everything we can to ensure the protection of children in our care. We will work in partnership with children, childcare settings, parents and carers and other agencies to promote the welfare of children in our care.  All our staff will be carefully selected, trained and competent to carry out their responsibilities for safeguarding children in their care.  All staff will have an up-to-date Criminal Records Bureau or Disclosure and Barring Service check.  All staff will be given guidance on how to act in the event that they suspect a child may be at risk of harm. All staff will be informed on our procedures if an allegation is made against them.

We will:

  • Listen to children and take account of their wishes and feelings.
  • Follow the statutory requirements detailed in the Government report, ‘Working together to Safeguard Children, March 2013’.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to all suspicions or allegations of abuse or harm relating to child welfare.
  • Share information about concerns with agencies that need to know.
  • Ensure that confidential information is treated with discretion.
